Mark works for Intel cooperation in its ultra Mobile Group doing Android integration and debug as as the UMG android kernel architect as well as higher level activities. Mark specialises in power management at the kernel level, kernel porting, rebaseing BSP’s to new versions of android, and platform integration bring up and debugging in user mode and some performance optimisation activities. Mark has worked in the Linux kernel for about 11 years, has been part of Linux PM efforts and has spoken at a few Linux conferences but, still trying to be a better speaker.

He knows how to take a joke and has interests in all things nerdy.

Android is a pretty complete stack and includes a lot of infrastructure for testing and integration. It even includes code for boot a loader and a pre-os environment for doing device updates after the device is deployed. Read more.
