Sifteo cubes are a new platform for Intelligent Play that combine the hands-on experience of classic games (dominoes, board games) with the interaction possibilities of videogames. Spun out of work at the MIT Media Lab and developed by “Sifteo”(sifteo.com – a startup in San Francisco—these little 1.5-inch cubes communicate wirelessly and and show graphics, and can be shaken, tilted, flipped, neighbored, and pressed. Hear how the idea came about and how you can develop apps for this new platform.
